Long Distance Dental Treatment

Joanne lives in Bermuda, and after seeing the photos on my website she decided to come to Connecticut to have a smile makeover done because she was was very unhappy with her smile (see photo to left).

Treatment involved 5 extractions, grafting of her jaw bone where it was deficient, 5 implants, and 12 crowns. Treatment took a little over one year, and included 4 trips to Connecticut. Each time she went home she had very attractive temporaries (photo with green shirt). When she first went home after this photo, she emailed the following to me:

"When I arrived at work today with my hair colored darker and makeup
along with my winning smile, the whole office wanted to know who the new girl was sitting at Joanne's desk. My boss was stunned when I told her these were only the temporaries. She said she will have to have hers done."

The third photo shows Joanne with her permanent crowns and fabulous smile. She was extremely pleased, as was I, and said it was well worth the effort.

Implants, Orthodontics, and Porcelain Bridges

The photo of this young lady shows that two of her front teeth never grew in, and the surrounding teeth moved and became crooked. We discussed the possibility of orthodontically moving the teeth into their correct positions and then filling the appropriate spaces with implants and crowns attached. Treatment time would be two years.

The alternative is to remove enough enamel from her front four teeth, so I could have enough room to make two porcelain bridges of three teeth each to cover these teeth. So instead of four teeth with spaces she would have six teeth in appropriate positions. These would be bonded/cemented in, would not come out, and would look very natural. Advantage is that it only takes three weeks. She chose that approach, and was thrilled with the results.

She is a very pretty girl, but her missing and crooked teeth really detracted from her looks. I was very proud of the results, as her now beautiful smile just lit up her whole face. She was thrilled. See many more smile makeovers, like this, that I did on my Smile Makeovers and much more page.

Why I love doing cosmetic dentistry

I love being a dentist; and I especially love doing cosmetic dentistry. In the span of 3 weeks I can create a dazzling smile that can greatly improve a person’s looks, and even improve his or her life.
In 25 years I’ve done about 500 smile makeovers, which means about 500 major thank you’s, hugs, and “Wow, I should have done this years ago - I love it!” I think you can understand why I enjoy cosmetic dentistry.
I get to combine my award-winning art background with years of technical dental expertise, and most important--- a tender touch and compassionate care--- to change teeth, smiles, and faces for the better.
A picture is worth a thousand words, so I invite you to check the before and after photos of the cases I have done, and let the photos speak for themselves.
